On March 29 and 30, Nemaska Lithium held the first ever Nemaska Land and Environment Conference, organized in collaboration with the Nemaska Cree Nation. The event was held in response to a commitment made by the Chinuchi Agreement’s Environment Committee.
For the occasion, the population of Nemaska and surrounding communities was invited to the Nemaska Sports Complex to meet with scientific experts, members of the Cree Nation of Nemaska Administration and the Cree Nation Government, as well as employees of Nemaska Lithium to discuss environmental issues in Eeyou Istchee and the Whabouchi Mine project.
The event brought together people of all ages, young and old, and was a great opportunity for our team to get to know and talk with members of the Cree community. We would like to thank all those who helped make it such an enjoyable event.
