Job Description

JOB SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Whabouchi Site Maintenance Superintendent, the Electrical Engineer will act as a technical expert in electrical engineering for the Nemaska Lithium Concentrator/Concasser team, carrying out all electrical engineering activities (internal and external) from feasibility study to plant commissioning.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assist and establish a relationship of trust with engineering firms in the design of projects of various sizes in power electricity (high, medium and low voltage);
• Read, interpret and review all electrical diagrams, make recommendations and ensure that corrective action is taken as required;
• Communicate the risks and opportunities identified in electrical engineering and automation and the associated mitigation paths to the project team;
• Assist the maintenance team in meeting deadlines and budgets;
• Assist the electrical team, instrumentation and electrical technicians.
• Be involved in the planning of the various planning phases..;
• Ensure that standards and specifications are met: inspection, arc flash and preventive maintenance.
• Target the training needed by the team.

Required profile

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :

• University degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering, or other training deemed equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position in an industrial environment;
• Bilingual French and English, spoken and written; (asset)
• Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
• Be comfortable managing several files at the same time;
• Comfortable with online collaboration platforms;
• Sense of initiative and good work organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Developed interpersonal and communication skills;
