Mobile Equipment Operator – Call for applications

Within the general services department of the mine, reporting to the supervisor, the Mobile Equipment Operator operates heavy machinery used in the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings and other structures, in open pit operations and in material handling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive and operate oversized heavy equipment, graders and wheel loaders 
• Perform field services such as snow removal, soil transfer, road maintenance and grading and fuel delivery 
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery 
• Pre-check, clean, lubricate and refill machinery 
• Inspect, check and perform corrective maintenance and adjustments on equipment 
• Identify equipment malfunctions and potential defects 
• Perform minor repairs as required 

• Professional degree in heavy equipment driving or construction equipment mechanics 
• Significant experience in driving heavy equipment 
• Class 1 and 5 driver’s license 
• ASP construction 
• Experience in heavy industry;  
• Concern for health and safety;

• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts of 14/14 FIFO type.
