Job Description

Under the authority of the Logistics and Transportation Supervisor, the incumbent must ensure the smooth operation of services related to General Services such as accommodation, housekeeping, laundry, food service, transportation of employees and transportation of materials required for the development and operation of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Demonstrate rigorous health and safety enforcement while being an active ambassador to promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace;
  • Ensure that all operations are conducted in an environmentally and ethically responsible manner, ensuring that company policies and practices are aligned with these values;
  • Foster an inclusive work environment by valuing multiculturalism and diversity while ensuring that all employees are treated fairly, without discrimination or prejudice;
  • Plan, organize, direct and control the various activities of each of the departments attached to the hotel services : the lodging complexes, the kitchen, the housekeeping, the bus transportation service, the reservation and follow-up of air flights;
  • Act as a liaison between the various service providers related to hotel services (food service, housekeeping) and transportation;
  • Audit the various service providers and follow up on the purchase requisitions for materials and services;
  • Participate in the logistical planning of the workforce on site;
  • Ensure the efficiency, optimization and profitability of services;
  • Manage and maintain the computer system as well as produce various reports associated with General Services logistics;
  • Actively participate in various meetings (safety, management, planning, coordination, etc.) and provide positive input;
  • Any other activities that may be assigned to him by his superiors.

Required profile

  • High school diploma combined with relevant experience;
  • Significant management experience in the restaurant industry;
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety standards as well as of hygiene and sanitation regulations in the kitchen (MAPAQ);
  • Experience in managing air transportation and accommodation in mining camps is an asset;
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Show initiative, be autonomous and have good work organization;
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts on a FIFO schedule 14/14;
  • Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is an asset.
