Your Mission:

Under the benevolent direction of the Technical Support Supervisor, the IT technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the security and quality of our systems. As a dedicated guardian of IT support across our various sites, they become an invaluable reference for our internal team and our valued external partners.

The IT technician not only resolves issues but also proposes innovative solutions to address current and future challenges. Their close collaboration with our team of technicians ensures the smooth operation of our networks and the entire IT infrastructure.

This role requires a full-time on-site presence. The individual will be the primary point of contact for the Bécancour site. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop and take on a role with diverse tasks.

 

Your day-to-day:

  • Manage deployment and infrastructure optimization projects.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to users.
  • Configure workstations, printers, and mobile devices. Administer the IT network (multi-site) and servers (Windows).
  • Perform maintenance, configuration, and deployment of applications.
  • Manage appropriate access to various applications according to permissions.
  • Implement procedures to maintain optimal security levels (firewall, antivirus, etc.). Manage user and email accounts.
  • Manage the IP telephony system.
  • Ensure quality control according to requirements and contracts.
  • Determine and document IT procedures.
  • Implement backup procedures and ensure their effectiveness.
  • Assess risks related to the physical and technical security of data, software, and hardware.
  • Participate in policy development.
  • Provide advice on strategies, policies, management, security, and service delivery concerning information systems.
  • Collaborate with the programmer-analyst on IT developments as needed.

Required profile

Your qualifications:

  • DEC in IT (asset).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server operating system, Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 365, Office 365 technologies, networks and IT security, and IP telephony systems.
